Not for sale !

One of our local election pledges was to stop the sale of the current NCC HQ site in Morpeth and to build a new £80 million ‘palace for councillors’ in Ashington.

We listened to residents and the majority were in favour of cancelled the above.

We are delighted to report that the sale has now stopped.

Additional information will follow.

In case you did not realise the previous administration were the ones who said the cost was up to £80m. Click here (June 2016)

Residents sleep safely

Residents told us that they have been trying to get bollards in this area for years without success.

This followed cars crashing outside on two separate occasions.

Residents said their lives were being very disrupted due to this.

We didn’t ‘bury our heads’ and ignore the issue.

We took this on and are delighted to see the work is underway and the residents are a lot happier & safer.

Getting a fair share for Tynedale.

Adderlane Academy

Thank you to the amazing staff & Children at the Adderlane Wise Academy for supporting #GBSpringClean.

The Children from the Eco Club & School Buddies are shown in the photograph before they went out on the litter hunt.

Guy Opperman MP together with Gordon Stewart from Prudhoe Conservatives and Ken Stow who runs the West Wylam Residents Association helped the Children today.

This School has a great new buzz about it clearly the staff & Children love being there and are learning new skills in a fun way every day.

Well done to everyone involved in the School life including Academy team, Governors, staff, parents and of course the brilliant Children.

This School is at the heart of the community.

Litter is an issue we should be concerned about and we are making inroads into it with various projects.

With such children involved Prudhoe has a great future.

A large amount of litter was collected in such a short space of time.

A drone view of Prudhoe

Two 14-year-old schoolboys have created an innovative aerial film of the town.

Dan Bell and Bailey Maughan’s debut film, Prudhoe…An Eye In The Sky has already attracted thousands of viewers.

The Prudhoe Community High School students shot the film over a period of two weeks using a drone camera.

The lads contacted us in January 2017 and asked that we help them promote this fantastic video which were were delighted to do.

Their skill and enthusiasm was evident and a sign that Prudhoe is really changing with modern technology being learned.

Gordon Stewart  arranged for the young students to visit local business Open Works Engineering – Click here   where they received a fantastic reception from the whole team and heard first hand from a qualified drone pilot about the benefits of using such a device & also the rules ensuring the safety of the public.
